Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Principia. By downloading, installing, or using the application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Axiom 38 LLC, a Michigan limited liability company ("Axiom 38," "we," "us," or "our"), regarding your use of the Principia mobile application ("App"), available under bundle identifier com.axiom38.principia, and all related services, content, and features (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service in any way — including by creating an account, downloading the App, purchasing a subscription, or simply browsing its content — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a minor child, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of that child and that you accept these Terms on behalf of both yourself and that child.
Principia is a mathematics education application designed for iOS and Android devices. The App provides structured mathematics instruction, practice problems, progress tracking, and related educational content across a range of mathematical topics and skill levels.
The Service is offered in two tiers:
We reserve the right to modify, expand, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.
To access certain features, including premium content and cloud sync, you must create an account with accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
Each account is for a single individual. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms.
The Service is intended for users of all ages. Users under the age of 13 are subject to additional protections under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Children under 13 may not use features involving collection of personal information without verifiable parental consent. See our COPPA Notice and Privacy Policy for details.
Parents and guardians may review, request deletion of, or withdraw consent for their child's data at any time by contacting support@getprincipia.com.
Full access to the Service is available through paid options, processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store:
Monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You may cancel at any time through your device's app store settings.
Refund requests are governed by the refund policies of Apple or Google. Axiom 38 LLC does not directly process payments or independently issue refunds.
We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscription state. We do not receive or store your credit card or payment instrument data.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Axiom 38 LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
This license does not include the right to copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of any part of the App.
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to transmit harmful code, to attempt unauthorized access, to scrape data, to impersonate others, to interfere with the Service, to develop competing products, or to circumvent access controls.
The App and all content, features, functionality, design, code, graphics, text, images, and mathematical content is the exclusive property of Axiom 38 LLC or its licensors. "Principia," "Axiom 38," and related marks are trademarks of Axiom 38 LLC.
Principia does not currently support user-generated content. User data, including learning progress and practice results, is stored privately and is not shared with or visible to other users.
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. Key commitments: we do not sell your personal information, we do not serve advertising, we do not collect your name, precise location, contacts, or access your camera or microphone.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Axiom 38 LLC disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Principia is an educational tool designed to support mathematics learning. It is not a substitute for qualified teachers or formal academic instruction. We make no guarantee regarding any particular learning outcome.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Axiom 38 LLC's total cumulative liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) ten dollars ($10.00 USD).
Axiom 38 LLC is not responsible for any educational outcomes, academic results, or test scores. Principia is a software application, not a licensed educational institution or certified tutoring service.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Axiom 38 LLC from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of your violation of these Terms, unauthorized use of the Service, or violation of any law or third-party rights.
You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, fraudulent conduct, or discontinuation of the Service. Upon termination, your license immediately terminates and account data may be deleted per our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to contact support@getprincipia.com and attempt informal resolution. Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts in Michigan.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
Any claim must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will take effect no sooner than 30 days after notice. Your continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
